Amersham is a market town within the Chiltern district in Buckinghamshire. The town is split into two distinct areas: Amersham on the Hill, which is close to the railway station, and Old Amersham, which contains the 13th century parish church of St Mary’s and several old pubs and coaching inns. Amersham is situated 27 miles north west of London and is directly linked to the capital by the Metropolitan Line of the London Underground.
